Update to no updates..
As I sit here with a cold Miller High Life..I remembered I started up a slackware blog awhile back. Had nothing to add for awhile. Been busy with work and not messing with my machines. As of now nothing really works at my desk, cept for my game rig (windows 7). Slackware has been pissing me off tryin to deal with nvidia drivers lately. Therefore I can't get a running desktop up. I don't have time for messing with configs. I also wanted to try out Gnome 3.X . For the hell of it i loaded the latest version of Ubuntu (11.10) which has Gnome 3.X out of box. As usual..runs like ASS! Feels very sloppy. So 20 minutes into it and that can only mean it's time to shitcan the install. I was figuring that Ubuntu would be great to install so that I wouldn't have to mess with many configs and just "go". I thought wrong! At least a handfull of the same results trying Ubuntu. With every new Release it seems like it is more bogged down and choppy. Time for the latest download of Zenwalk (7.0)...

GSB: GNOME SlackBuild
Being that Slackware has not come packed with Gnome in quite some time...
I found that GNOME SlackBuild suited me well. Development is still active and is up to date for "stable releases".

For you Slackware Fans:
I stumbled across this forum awhile back called Slack Linux Fans. Since then, I visit daily to see lots of good information, news, updates, and links on Slackware. Slack Linux Fans has very friendly members, which are prompt at answering/replying to posts.
